R&B/neo-soul artist Maxwell released the song “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)” in 1996 as the second single off his debut album, Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite.
The US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, the Billboard Hot 100 list, and the UK Singles Chart all reached their peaks at number eight, number 36, and number 28 respectively.
“Lock You Up N’ Love Fa Days,” a previously unreleased song that Musze also wrote and produced, serves as the single’s B side.
